This traditional pot, a ritual water pitcher with a spout, is meticulously hand-painted with Aipan art motifs from Uttarakhand. It features a rich Red base, adorned with intricate white patterns and yellow accents. The design includes horizontal bands of white lines, rows of yellow dots, and vertical dotted patterns (Bindus) around the neck and body. A prominent feature is the Hindi inscription "सदा सौभाग्यवती भव:" (Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava) in white, which translates to "May you always be fortunate/blessed with a long-lived husband," signifying its use in auspicious Hindu ceremonies or festivals like Karwa Chauth. The lower body showcases red lotus petal motifs outlined in white, and the spout is decorated with white leaf-like patterns. The base has vertical dripping line patterns and a band of white dots. This Kalash is used for holding water or other sacred liquids during puja rituals and symbolizes purity and blessings.
